No ge sales to ignored people

Since no one seems to care if you /ignore them, maybe we can add a little something extra to the feature to make it more of a potent tool. Anyone on your ignore list should not be able to purchase anything from you on the GE. This would start to make things much harder for toxic people who find themselves ignored by a lot of people, and therefore actually have an impact on them. Not sure if it's possible or not, but you never know unless you ask 🤷🏻‍♂️
 
Then its retaliation and not ignoring. You see ignoring someone is a mature concept, it's putting someone or something out of your mind because it isnt worth the time or effort. What you are doing is more akin to saying "I'm going to ignore you." Then constently checking up on them to see if karma/life ever got back at them.

Tl:Dr Get over it and ignore them.

So the right to refuse service to anyone is immature huh? That's funny considering it's a concept universally accepted worldwide..... Be an ass and your not welcome here..... Be an asshole to enough people, eventually you feel the pinch 🤷🏻‍♂️
 
That's not the right to refuse service, that's retaliatory targeting which is illegal in the real world.
 
Edit: My first reply was bit to antagonistic, I apologize. The tl:dr is you can only deny service to certain groups and people legally. Though many will go the extra mile and ban people illegally people will usually just go to the next store or shop rather than sue.

It's a game, not real life, and only refusing service for certain reasons is against the law. However, if the toxic rude people got muted by enough people, and couldn't purchase their goods in game, they would either have to make another character and try to treat people better, or act as mostly a HCIM and deal with it. It would weed out most of the toxic people in my opinion. Of course there would be some who would continue to try to be disruptive, but hopefully less than there is now 🤷🏻‍♂️

To an extent, that's the idea. You want to be a nasty, rude, disruptive douche that keeps stealing people spots just to be lazy and an asshole, there are consequences. If they behave like that so regularly that 70% of the game has them on ignore, things start to become difficult for them. Either they make a new char and act differently, or quit. Sounds win win to me 🤷🏻‍♂️
 
The problem with this is that most people have alts, so a work around is easy. Just trade the alt the gp and have the alt buy things. Sure it's an extra step, but such an easy one that the time it would take to code this feature isn't worth it.
 
If someone pissed you off enough you don't want to talk to them why sell them anything too? It's not like it's a big deal when there are probably 100s of other people selling the same thing. Just cause they can't buy from you doesn't really make their life harder but it does give you some payback for them being stupid.
 
I feel like this would be difficult to implement. There are already ways to isolate players from buying your stuff as the community seems pretty tight knit.
