The Coal problem

TLDR; How do we deal with the massive amount of coal we need to mine to make bars. I think add luminite.

So in minescape smelting, you have to use Coal, a lot of coal. At first only 2 coal to make each steel bar but eventually 8 coal for each rune bar... There's a big issue that comes up a lot when mining coal. Which is everyone else who's trying to mine/smelt is also mining coal. This makes it so the people who are very high mining, trying to make adamantite will instantly mine up coal nodes. Meanwhile, the newer miners/smiths trying to make steel can't even get one coal.

So with not, enough coal to go around only the high-level miners will get any and the low-levels will have to wait for them to go offline. I'm not 100% sure what we can do to fix the level issue but we can make people stop hogging coal and give them something else to mine. Whatever happened to luminite?

We have to use that instead of tons of coal to make stuff above steel in RS3. It'll give high-level miners a new ore to mine that'll also level them up faster than coal. Plus with new nodes to mine all the coal nodes open up for the lower levels. The game also already has some elements from OSRS and RS3 so why not add this as well to make things easier?

This is only a temporary issue because of the current amount of content that's available. Once more people reach 99 smithing/mining and with the pvp update coming up, I dont think this will be much of an issue for too much longer. Although, that being said I think luminite could be a good fix if this were to persist.

Disagreed. The META is mining coal at the mining guild right, but if you walk maybe 10 seconds from that main area there is tons of coal littered around the place.

The biggest problem with coal right now is that all best in slot melee is made through smithing, not to mention coal mining is the best way to 99 mining. Unlike OSRS you can 2 tick coal in Minescape, that makes the xp rates and gold per hour insane especially in an economy where coal is required for best in slot equipment.

Luminite is not the answer, just wait for tier 60 melee and more rare drop table mobs to become implemented and the market will correct itself.
