Graphics mods?

Im new to Minecraft, I've only played minescape, I was curious if there was a reason why the mods from this video haven't been considered for the server, or if they even work on java minecraft. Do they have to be downloaded on the server to be used, or is this something I can add to my own Minecraft? I understand this is more graphics intense, but with an 11gb graphics card and 64gb of ram I'm not worried 😅
 
Yeah there is a lot of things you can add on top of Minecraft :D... a lot of people use shaders even sirpugger used when making a video. Have a look how to install one of them if u want to try, there is plenty of them to choose from as well. I would recommend one, but not using one myself as I like the oldschool feel, as I used pvp on Minecraft before and changing the way it looks kinda not for me :) even tho I might try a shaders soon.
 
A lot of these are visual mods. Meaning you can install them on your client without requiring other people to download them, too. It's a really cool way to make your world look better. However, we aren't interested in adding anything that is server-side. We like minescape sticking to the Vanilla style, meaning you don't need to download ANYTHING off the server to play it. Just join and go.

TECHNICALLY you do need to download something :p the resource pack ;)

but yea, its nice to keep it vanilla so you can join without installing mods

Yea, just that auto downloads. You don't NEED to go to a website and download anything to play. It'll just happen when you log in.
