Introduction
Welcome, Minescape.me community. I created this post with the hopes of establishing an official thread that brings together ironmen and encourages others to try playing the game with these restrictions. These game modes are inspired by official game modes in Oldschool Runescape. Although these game modes are not officially in the game yet, it would be great to create a community of unofficial ironmen, and show support for the official addition of these game modes. For those of you interested in playing the game with an added challenge, and have not hear of these game modes, I will explain each mode and the differences between the three modes; Ironman, Hardcore Ironman, and Ultimate Ironman.
Ironman
Ironman players are NOT able to do the following:
• Trade with other players
• Pick up drops from other players' kills, including PvP
• Buy items from other players through overstocked shops
• Stake in the Duel Arena
Hardcore Ironman
Hardcore Ironman players will only have one life, in addition to the standard restrictions given to all ironmen. If a Hardcore Ironman dies, they will be converted to a standard ironman.
Safe deaths, such as those in minigames, will not cause the player to become a standard ironman. The following activity is deemed safe:
• Duel Arena
Ultimate Ironman
Ultimate Ironman players are not able to do the following, in addition to the standard restrictions given to all ironmen:
• Use the banks of RuneScape (they are still able to use noted items on bank booths, chests, or banknote merchants like Phials to unnote them)
• Create item sets using the Grand Exchange
• Keep the usual 3 items on death.
• Tradeable items are always lost
• Untradeable items are usually kept.
• Protect items with the Protect Item prayer
Community
Although there is no Ironman discord at the moment, I may decide to create one if there is enough of a demand. If you are interested in Ironman or would like more information, message me in-game or on the Minescape.me discord (username is UIMPure on both).
