Lagged through the map

I lagged through the map around draynor and lost all my items. No gravestone appeared.
 
I tested it on the dev server and falling into the void doesn't seem to kill you. So it must have been something else.
 
oh odd.. idk what it was then.. All I rememeber was falling, and lagging out.. Logged back in and was dead. went back and no gravestone. F

Did you log into a different world? Because gravestones only appear on the world you died. So that coulda been it.
