Title says it all.
The release of the wilderness was... to put it politely... a catastrophe. The fact that BASIC CORE MECHANICS are missing from the Wilderness update says it all:
- No protect item (or the ability to keep 4 items)
- No quick prayers.
- Swordfish (best food in-game) heal 14HP yet players can literally max hit 38 with Rapid Range + RCB (Rigour + Rune Bolts).
- Teleporting away from people is too easy. Click Home Teleport and wait (in combat?; doesn't matter xD).
- No variety in drops whatsoever (Mammoths, Grizzly Bears, Skeletons, Giant Rats = DEAD content).
- Green Dragons can still be safe spotted.
- Elder Chaos Druids can be safe spotted.
- AFK CHECKERS IN THE WILD (SERIOUSLY?)
Now you have these Players who have grinded their Range and Prayer levels (for Rigour) 3-hitting level 80s to the point where they cannot out-eat or even attempt to teleport away. It's BROKEN. Honestly just disable Wilderness and focus on these mechanics being implemented before even thinking of re-opening it again.
Surely if you run a server like this you want it to be QUALITY not just chucking not very well thought out updates to the player base. The wilderness update has done NOTHING to boost player numbers and now Bandit has reduced the worlds to combat this which means everyone is getting annoyed at PKers simply hopping a handful of worlds all day for that sweet 20k loot...
IDK.. I feel like this update was a bit of a flop and there are some MAJOR issues that need to be addressed if the wilderness can ever be called 'properly implemented'.
